I need advice on cleaning a leather purse?

I have a lambskin purse. My husband cleaned it with a sheepskin leather cleaner and now the bag is hard.?
The bag is stiff not soft like it was before. Is there anything that can be done to soften the leather and restore its original finish.
Yes two things:
1 - Mink oil after cleaning. What you do is take the purse as it stands now, and wipe it clean with some type of safe soap. Then, you smear the mink oil on and lightly heat it with a hair dryer or some type of heat and it soaks in. Whala.
2 - You can get a beeswax product called Sno-Seal. It has been out for years. You'll have to melt that on too.
This whole thing is simpler than it sounds. Both mink oil paste and Sno-Seal are readily available. The mink oil is a little harder to find but you will find it. Use some type of disposable rag to apply it. It comes out like thick jelly. So you smear it on and then gently heat it and then wipe off the excess (while it is warm). Used rags go in the trash.
In the end you will wind up saying to yourself that it was simple.
There is one last thing: for a short term fix you can safely use Armor All protectant spray. Get anywhere. But for long term you want to use the above. The AA protectant will work fine to soften it up for the short term and you won't screw it up.
