What is the meaning of a five pointed star tilting to the left?

I found a book cover that's made to cover an existing book in some old family stuff. It's emerald green leather embossed with gold lines. The star is in double gold lines and fills the front cover. The back is covered in a diamond pattern of gold lines with gold flowers at the intersections.
I have a lot of books and I checked them all to see what it would fit. Nothing came even close except for one book that was a perfect fit.
The Prophecies of Nostradamus. What do you make of this?

Its hard to know without actually seeing it, but if you google images of wicca you might find what you are looking for. I think its a pagan symbol, but I'm only guessing.
