Bulky Weight Yarn

Will this yarn work for a cabled scarf pattern?
I am using Lion Brand Homespun bulky weight yarn to make a scarf. The pattern has cables in it. I was wondering if the cables will show up well using this type of yarn? This yarn is wavy instead of just being a long straight piece of yarn.

I'm familiar with Homespun and know just what it is. The cables will show up. They won't show up quite as clearly as they would if you were using a straight flat yarn. Your scarf will be lovely and soft, however, with this yarn. Your cables will show up best, even with Homespun, if you have a plain color. Variegated yarns don't show knit-in patterns (like cables) terribly well -- you'll see them, but you'll have to look for them.
